Kathleen Brien has assembled a heavyweight cast of collaborators for her third album, but there is no doubt about who's in charge. Brien brings different sounds and outlooks together and make the resulting tracks zing. Here her twitchy collaboration with Four Tet and Floating Points (Calm Down) sits easily next to the more strident and mainstream-friendly bounce and lick of Who Am I (with Major Lazer and Craig David).

There is also plenty of shine for new-school names: rising grime star J Hus leans in on the Heavy Trackerz-produced thumper Lose Your Head and Sasha Keable and JD Reid bring Brien on a sunny retro r'n'b rip with Chase Me. Add in tracks with Kaytranada, Hannah Wants, Chris Lorenzo, Novelist, Mr Mitch, Jamie Jones and others, and the result is album in which Brien flexes her muscles every which way she can. katybofficial.com
