The indie-pop collective’s Sick of Christmas party at Whelan’s Parlour Bar will feature Skelocrats, Rhino Magic and Rural Savage, while the Stag’s Head is also hosting a post-Christmas party, with The Gandhis, on the 28th, to ease you into the last days of 2012.

Once you're sufficiently geed-up for the New Year celebrations, there are plenty to choose from. The College Green extravaganza aside, Vicar Street will host the third Turning Pirate Mixtape Party, with musicians including Lisa Hannigan, Cathy Davey, Neil Hannon, Paddy Casey, We Cut Corners and more. The Cast of Cheers will play The Workman's Club, Republic of Loose play Whelan's, and musical comedy duo Rubberbandits will play The Village.

In Galway, the Róisín Dubh crowd will be entertained by Le Galaxie, Enemies and guests, while in Cork, local man Mick Flannery will play the Opera House and Daft as Funk hit Cyprus Avenue
