Rory Gallagher fans who are impatient for the annual festival which takes place in Donegal each summer may be appeased by an event in two Dublin cinemas on March 16th.

To celebrate what would have been the legendary guitarist’s birthday, his famous Irish Tour ’74 concert video will be screened simultaneously in Movies@Dundrum and Movies@Swords.

Gallagher aficionados are invited to attend and pay homage to the guitarist, who died in 1995 but who would have been 64 today.

“It’s about time that Rory’s birthday and music were celebrated in Dublin,” said organiser John Power. Tickets are €15 plus booking fee, and available from the cinemas’ websites.
