Bank Holiday Round-up

You know there’s a bank holiday on when the number of club listings goes way up

You know there’s a bank holiday on when the number of club listings goes way up. It’s going to be busy tonight on Dublin’s Middle Abbey Street with Caspa returning to The Twisted Pepper, the venue he rammed to the rafters last time out, and Ricardo Villalobos at large next door in the Academy. Down south, Zombie Zombie’s Etienne Jaumet closes the Cork French Film Festival on Sunday, while Shackleton headlines the Terminal Convention’s first night of music on Thursday.

Meanwhile up north, there’s an Irish debut for Sonny Moore aka Skrillex (below, tomorrow, Belfast), the electro producer and DJ tipped for greatness by Deadmau5. Also watch out for 2 Many DJs on tour (Wed, Dublin and Thurs, Cork); Wu Tang Clan great Raekwon playing his Only Built 4 Cuban Linx album in full (Wed, Dublin); and a banging double-bill with Carl Craig and Luciano (Wed, Dublin).

Can't see these? Catch this:

Clint Boon turns DJ (Fri, Dublin); Test pull out all the techno stops (Wed, Dublin); and 12 put on an all-day shindig in honour of the national holiday (Thurs, Dublin)
