A much admired hoot of a live show has spread the word about Dublin DJ and producer Kormac O'Halloran, his action-packed big band and barbershop quartet. While there have been a few low-key releases to act as flyers for that show, Word Playshould bring more people into the fanclub. There are a fair host of guests onboard (including DJ Yoda, Sold Steel's DJ Cheeba, Koaste, Messiah J The Expert and MC Little Tree) and O'Halloran marshals these forces, deploys them in battle and directs the action with great guile.

He's obviously taken some cues from past wiseguys who've worked in the cut-and-paste department (the merry strutting on Studio Sorceryor the high-stepping tea-dancing on Quackershave traces of Yoda and Mr Scruff), yet he also knows when to take another route, as in The Party Must Continuewith Messiah J The Expert working up a sweat.
