Kaleidoscope: A night of music

The Kaleidoscope series at the Odessa Club in Dublin gets under way Wednesday. This year’s concerts will include the complete solo cello suites by Bach, played by William Butt, whose recording of these works was released this month by Warner Classics. Butts opens with the First Suite, and his performances will feature in every second Kaleidoscope evening during 2013.

The line-up also includes violinist and Kaleidoscope co-curator Cliodhna Ryan, clarinettist Macdara Ó Seireadáin, and accordionist Dermot Dunne in works by Bartók, Denisov and Piazzolla. And theres a screening of Dearbhla Walsh’s short dance film Mo Mhórchoir Féin.
