Mooning around the Big Smoke

Anybody who has heard Duncan Jones, director of Moon, interviewed will suspect that he is a chap with few pretensions. Sure enough, without any prompting from studios or distributors, he visited Dublin at the weekend to talk to punters at a number of screenings of his fine film.

“I was on the Pat Kenny show,” he told a packed house at Cineworld. “And the item before me was all about the recession and how there were great deals to be had in hotels, so I decided to check it out.”

I’m sure the good people at the film company would have put him up in the Hotel du Posh. “Oh I’m fine in my tent,” he quipped.
