A selection of big-name bands are set to converge on Dublin this September to mark the 250th birthday of Guinness. “Arthur’s Day” takes place on September 24th, and will see a number of musical acts join in the festivities to commemorate the anniversary of the first time the Guinness inventor poured a pint of the black stuff.

Black Eyed Peas are among the names touted for inclusion in the party, which will also be celebrated with events in several cities around the globe including New York, Lagos, Yaoundé and Kuala Lumpur.

However, it’s not yet known whether the hip-hop group will play in Dublin, where it’s more likely that

the likes of Kasabian, The Enemy, The Wombats, Mystery Jets, David Holmes, Reverend and the Makers, Soul II Soul, Estelle, Mongrel, D’Banj, Johnny Flynn, Noah and the Whale and The Undertones will appear.
