If ever there was a game that was suited to the PlayStation Vita, Little Big Planet is it. Sackboy’s world goes mobile with the newest version of the hit game, and it makes full use of the Vita’s capabilities.

As you guide Sackboy through the levels, you will have multiple ways of interacting with the game, from pulling out platforms to guiding rockets.

It never feels forced, which is a big improvement from other titles that have tried to adopt the touch sensitive and motion controls. Pinching, tilting, flicking – it is all put to good use.

The beauty of LBP is that you never get tired of playing it. Even if you manage to ace all the levels, collect all the items and play through the story (which inevitably involves the people of Craftworld in peril), there is still plenty to do.

Collectibles, hidden areas, mini games – they’ve all been incorporated into the Vita game.

Like in other LBP releases, you can create your own levels in the Vita version. There’s one important addition, however: you can now create levels that remember your progress – where you left off, score, etc.

Creating your own worlds with the new Vita controls is an experience in itself. You can use the cameras to include items from your own world too. It’s a perfect combination of old and new.

It goes without saying that you have access to the levels created by other LBP users, which if other LBP titles are any indication, will open up a vast array of content to users.

Add in the ability to play with up to three friends over Wifi and you have a game that you’ll keep playing for a long time.

Sackboy makes a seamless leap to Sony’s new platform.
