In fairytales, the princess is usually saved by a hero. Occasionally, though, the princess gets off her backside and does some saving of her own. Hero Princess HDis one such game. There's a castle and Vikings determined to gain access, and a few handy weapons for repelling them. Instead of waiting to be rescued, the princess is a "Do It Yourself" kind of girl. Use castle bricks to knock the Vikings off the ladders, or shake the ladders themselves to dislodge the heavier, more persistent invaders. It still goes a little heavy on the stereotypes. Every so often you get a more powerful pink weapon to take out some of the would-be intruders (a piano, a pony). The better your defence, the higher your score. There are a few different types of Vikings – the latest update includes a ghost – to test your defences. Overall, it's a frantic, fun game that will kill a few hours.
