These days, there's an app for almost everything. Want to turn your smartphone into a retro camera? There's an app for that. How about a personal trainer? There's an app for that. And if you want to reminisce about your tragically overlooked career as a DJ, cut short just before it hit its prime? You guessed it – there's an app for the too. With Djayyou can brush up on your missing skills whenever, and wherever, you feel the urge. It uses the tracks from your own iPod or iPhone, allowing you to alter settings such as tempo and volume to get the perfect mix, and throws in some transitions as well. It has nice touches, such as giving you a set of on-screen decks while you "perform", and uses the album artwork on the vinyl on the user interface. You can even scratch records – digitally of course – if that's your liking. And if your skills aren't quite up to it, you can let the automix function do the work for you. Djay will also record your masterpieces so you can export them to your Mac or PC to inflict on friends, family and the world.
