The John Ford Ireland film symposium continues at various venues until Sunday. This evening, at 7.30pm in the IFI, director and critic Peter Bogdanovich will ponder his lively encounters with the Irish-American film-maker. Later, in Meeting House Square, you can enjoy an outdoor screening of Ford’s still untouchable The Searchers.

Other films screened at the IFI include The Informer, Fort Apache and Unforgiven. Guests include Stephen Fears and Kyle Eastwood, son of Clint. Joel Cox, editor of Unforgiven, will also be sharing his expertise.

Presented by the Irish Film and Television Academy, the event features masterclasses and discussions. See johnfordireland.org.
