Kerry’s Chaplin fest

You want more festivals? Well, it is the season

You want more festivals? Well, it is the season. The Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival is running in Waterville, County Kerry throughout the weekend.

Among the delights are an evening with the indestructible Barry Norman, comic stylings from The Nualas and an acting master class from Jack Garfein. Eileen Dunne off the telly will be on hand for an awards ceremony honouring the festival’s favourite new short films. Chaplin often holidayed in that attractive town and a statue has been erected there in his honour. Further information about the impressively hectic schedule can be located at chaplinfilmfestival.com.
