More Oxegen: Among the new acts announced for Oxegen this week were Howling Bells, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Mumford Sons, Little Boots, Patrick Wolf, Passion Pit, Wild Beasts, Magistrates and Camera Obscura.
Marr to star:The Cribs, the Yorkshire band who have enlisted Johnny Marr as their second guitarist, will play two Irish dates this September. They'll play The Academy on the 21st, and Mandela Hall on the 22nd. Marr will play both dates with the band.
More Oxegen: Beastie Boys have announced details of their eighth studio album. It's called Hot Sauce Committeeand is rumoured for release this winter, although no official date has been set.
Songs for Scarlett:Actress Scarlett Johansson will release her second album, a collaboration with singer-songwriter Pete Yorn, this September. Break Upis an album of original duets in the Gainsbourg/Bardot vein.
