A Victorian, walnut bowfront credenza sold for £3,500 at a house contents auction at 48 Castle Avenue, Clontarf, Dublin, last Sunday conducted by Town & Country and Sinnot Menton Hennessy.

In the same sale, an Edwardian mahogany, rectangular hall table sold for £2,400; a set of eight Chippendale style dining chairs made £2,300; and a George III Irish long case clock sold for £1,700.

A Victorian, walnut Viennese wall clock fetched £1,200 and a Victorian, mahogany two door bookcase made the same price.
