CORRECTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS

The World View column in Saturday's editions, on the recent conference on Irish and Canadian experiences of peacekeeping, incorrectly indicated that Sir Brian Urquhart, the former UN UnderSecretary responsible for peacekeeping, had said that in peacekeeping the pendulum was swinging against the idea that control must be left in the hands of the large nations. This suggestion was made by a Canadian speaker in a discussion.
