An article in yesterday's editions on illegal immigrants arriving in Ireland from Romania said the Romanian government had agreed protocols with 10 European countries including Ireland for the deportation of Romanians who arrive illegally. The Romanian Charge d'Affaires, Mr George Maior, has pointed out that Romania has no such protocol agreement with Ireland.

In an article in yesterday's editions headed "Parents of one in four babies last year were single" gave incorrect figures. The Central Statistics Office has advised that 0.4 per cent of all births outside marriage were to girls aged 15 or younger, and that, among the 2,700 babies born to single mothers, 56 were born to mothers under the age of 16.
