BANTRY Bay `96 continues throughout the summer, with the Bantry Spring Regatta on August 3rd, an international triathlon on August 4th, and a flower festival throughout that weekend. Further west, Castletownbere celebrates its festival of the sea from August 2nd to 11th, and Berehaven regatta is on August 5th. The 1796 Bantry French Armada exhibition is on display at East Stables, Bantry House.
The National Maritime Museum, which displays the original Bantry longboat, is open from Tuesday to Sunday until the end of September at Mariner's Church, Haigh Terrace, Dun Laoghaire.
