Consider a compact
It’s the time of year for covering up and I must confess there’s something comforting about being back in the snug support of my Wolfords. As clothing is layered up, your face also demands a bit more armour against the elements.
I do love a compact foundation, and happily the cosmetic companies are embracing this ideal way of delivering colour. What’s not to like about a flexible finish in a non-spill container that you can top up while on the go?

Chanel Vitalumière Compact Douceur, €52
This ultra-fine powder, pictured right, uses the same light diffusing technology as plasma screens (I kid you not), and gives light to medium coverage. Use alone for a naturally evened-out glow or layer over a liquid base for a more groomed finish.
