An Irish-owned software localisation company, VistaTEC, is more than trebling its workforce to 70.
It has also raised £700,000 in equity after only one year of operation, with Forbairt and a private investor taking separate stakes amounting to 14 per cent of the company's value.
VistaTEC, which currently employs 20 people, is aiming for annual revenues of £6 million over the next two years, and a possible market flotation at the end of that period. VistaTEC recently opened offices in Washington DC and the latest injection of funding will be used to develop the US and international business.
It also plans to offer local consultancy services to US software companies planning to market their products globally.
VistaTEC's primary activity is the translation of software into most European languages for use in foreign locations.
