Trinity Biotech, the Co Wicklow-based manufacturer of diagnostic products, has announced the purchase of the US MarDx Diagnostics group for $4 million (€4.2 million). MarDx is a world leader in the development and manufacture of diagnostic products.
Trinity chief executive officer Mr Ronan O'Caoimh said the acquisition complemented its existing product portfolio.
Trinity Biotech develops, manufactures and markets more than 100 diagnostic products. It sells into 80 countries worldwide.
