Top five-year pension funds

ESB Fund Managers outpaced their competitors by delivering an annualised return of 21.3 per cent for the five-year period to March, 1999 according to Coyle Hamilton's annual investment manager survey. Eagle Star and Friends First followed closely behind with 21.1 per cent and 20.6 per cent respectively. Price inflation was 2 per cent per annum compound over survey period.
