App for Apple devices encourages users to share their feelings via emojis

Given that the Oxford Dictionaries Word of the Year 2015 is an emoji, it seems only right that we should fully embrace the pictograph. YouHue is an iOS app that encourages you to share your feelings with friends via emojis rather than use of text and its unique selling point is the colour-coded mood updates.

The “ask a friend” feature allows you to ask one of your Facebook contacts how they are feeling and share your mood with them. There are only nine moods so it’s not exactly the most expressive way to say what’s on your mind and, once you’ve shared your mood, it’s not possible to update until you’re asked again how you’re feeling. It would probably work better as an integrated part of Facebook because I can’t see all that many people downloading it to use separately.
