INSTALL: St Patrick's Festival app joins the parade

The St Patrick’s Festival in Dublin has been providing free apps for a couple of years now. The Android and iPhone app, developed by Mobanode, includes full event listings, an interactive map and a live twitter feed link, covering Dublin and the National Lottery Skyfest in Wexford. A live streaming video of the parade in Dublin is available this year.

Friends don’t let friends use Internet Explorer 6. Microsoft IE6 has been superseded by at least two generations of browser that support modern web standards. But as highlighted by ie6countdown.com, 12 per cent of web users are still using it – in fact a whopping 34.5 per cent in China – presenting problems for web designers who still have to support it.
