Tech Tools: Samsung’s Galaxy Tab makes comeback with the S2

Starting at $399.99 and thinner, lighter and sleeker than before, the new Tab S2 means business

Samsung’s tablet, the Tab S, was unveiled a little over a year ago, and it’s just about due an update. And right on cue, it’s the Tab S2, sporting a thinner and lighter form than its predecessor. This version is also available in two sizes, 8 inches and 9.7 inches, which means Samsung is covering all its bases on the size issue.

It’s also offering the ability to boost the 32GB or 64GB of storage space with a Micro SD card up to 128GB in size. The original Tab S had a decent screen, and the Tab S2 doesn’t disappoint on that front either. It comes with a Super Amoled display, which – at our quick glance at least – looked vivid and crisp.

Plus Samsung is bringing in new accessories, including a keyboard cover that has a built-in trackpad. Suddenly, the Tab S2 is looking a lot more like a option for work as well as play.
