New Irish crypto-currency aims to transform tourism sector

Much like bitcoin, IrishCoin is a form of open-source software, held in encrypted digital “wallets” without any physical representation like coins or notes.

Irish tourisim is worth over €3 billion per year to the Irish economy and the creators of IrishCoin plan on utilising the currency as a discount token vehicle, and for the promotion of the Irish tourism industry among the Irish diaspora.

Distribution of IrishCoin will be directly through global organisations, companies and and ventures connected to the Irish tourism industry, and will start initially with take up from online Irish social networks like Liveireland with over 12,000 US and Irish members eligible to download digital wallets with IrishCoin.
