Strike at Barclays nearer

STAFF at Barclays Bank in Britain look set to vote in favour of holding a strike ballot as unions claim the bank is proposing to freeze pay and pensions of many staff, the UNiFI union said yesterday. The union said, although its ballot does not close until Friday, "feedback from staff indicates a resounding `yes' for a strike action vote"
