Telecoms software firm Arantech has won the Irish Software Association's company of the year award in recognition of 100 per cent sales growth for its flagship product, Touchpoint, which it sells to mobile phone operators worldwide.

The new company award went to Ammado, a social networking site for charities which is backed by serial entrepreneur Peter Conlon.

Globoforce, which provides employee reward programmes, won the sales achievement award, while Allfinanz, which provides software for the insurance industry won partnership of the year, for its relationship with Zurich Financial Services.

Havok, which was acquired by Intel earlier this year, was recognised for technical innovation.

The awards were presented at the ISA's annual dinner which was held last night at the Burlington Hotel.
