Camel View is here

Google gives us a camel’s eye view of Arabian desert

Speaking of camels, why kill them when you can strap a camera to their head, which is what Google has done. Yes, Camel View is a new addition to Google's Street View.

It is currently being trialled in the Liwa Desert in the United Arab Emirates with the intention of giving us armchair explorers free rein to explore some sand dunes without the unwanted side effects of thirst, sunburn and mirages of talking squirrels.

The Liwa Desert, which is 150km south west of Abu Dhabi, is stunningly beautiful; you’ll see palm trees, blue skies and “fellow” camel passengers as you explore.
