New roles will be in engineering, sales and operations

Home security firm PhoneWatch is to create 230 jobs with the opening of new offices in Dublin, Cork and up to 10 other regional centres.

The company, which currently employs 150 people in Ireland, said the new roles will be in the areas of engineering, sales and operations, with recruitment commencing immediately.

PhoneWatch managing director Eoin Dunne said the company was establishing a regional office network to bring it closer to customers and enable it to deliver an enhanced service.

“PhoneWatch monitored alarm systems are installed in more than 100,000 homes and businesses around the country. We have exciting and ambitious plans for growth in the Irish market and this new investment will help us realise that ambition,” he said.
