TTM Healthcare to create 100 jobs as part of €5m expansion

Food company Danone announces 50 new jobs at Wexford production facility

TTM Healthcare has announced 100 new jobs as part of a €5 million expansion plan, and Danone is to create 50 further jobs at its facility in Wexford, with the opening of a €26 million production line.

TTM will locate the majority of its new jobs in Ennis, Co Clare but some will also support TTM’s offices in Cork, Dublin, London, Preston and Berlin. The roles will be a mix of compliance and recruitment consultants, as well as sales professionals. A number of permanent healthcare professional roles are being created in TTM’s healthcare services division.

The 50 new roles at Danone are in areas such as quality, food science, operations, engineering as well as supply chain and logistics. The new jobs will bring Danone’s employee numbers to 400 by the end of 2014.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton today officially opened Danone’s extended facility in Wexford. The recently completed expansion is the final phase of a €180 million investment programme that has taken place at the company’s Irish operations in Macroom and Wexford over the past four years.

“These high quality manufacturing jobs will have a major knock-on impact on the local economy in particular in the dairy industry,” he said.

TTM chief executive Brian Crowley said the company helped place more than 3,000 specialist healthcare professionals into employment last year.

“This success and our expansion plans are only made possible by the dedication of our staff and our track record of successfully working with major healthcare centres across all our markets.”

He said many countries face challenges in healthcare recruitment, with aging populations across Europe creating a growing demand for more specialist healthcare professionals in a variety of settings.

TTM Healthcare was founded by Brian Crowley in Co Clare in 2002. The company currently employs 190 permanent staff and 900 professional healthcare contractors.

The company is to establish a presence in the Middle East in the coming months by opening an office in Abu Dhabi to service the rapidly expanding UAE market.
