Irish firm to expand operation after winning contract

Tech Group Europe secures big contract to supply injectable devices for diabetes sufferers

Medical device company Tech Group Europe is to expand its operation in north Dublin after securing a big contract to supply injectable devices for diabetes sufferers.

The Mulhuddart-based firm, which is a subsidiary of the US group West Pharmaceutical Services, said the program involved the manufacture, assembly and decoration of a complex injectable device for the diabetes market and would go into full-scale production next year.

The new contract will require the expansion of the existing site by 12,000 square feet.

“This expansion reinforces the commitment to developing the Dublin capability as part of an ongoing long-term investment plan,” Don O’Callaghan, vice president and general manager of Tech Group Europe said.
