Ernst & Young re-brands

Professional services firm to be known as EY

Professional services firm Ernst & Young is to be known as EY going forward.

According to the firm, the purpose of its global rebranding is to “create consistency across the globe” given that it is informally known as EY.

“ Shortening of the brand name will provide ease of use for EY practices and clients around the world,” the company said in a statement.

The accountancy firm has also appointed Mark Weinberger (51) as global chairman and CEO. He previously served as the global and Americas head of tax and on the global and Americas executive.
