Ryanair has dropped the legal action it instituted against Manchester Airport, after the airport detained one of its aircraft last June. Instead, the airline has become the first to sign up to the airport's new millennium pricing policy which takes effect from January 2000.

The policy features lower charges for airlines seeking to operate routes to destinations currently unserved or under-served from Manchester.

Ryanair is increasing its schedule from four to 10 flights daily between Manchester and Dublin. From November 10th, it is also offering fares from as little as £5 one-way, excluding tax.
