ROLLS Royce has won two significant orders, including one for £100 million sterling for its Trent engines to power six Boeing 7775. Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) had become the sixth customer to select Rolls engines, the company said. Each 777 will be powered by two Trent engines, the world's most powerful aero engines.
Rolls also announced a Canadian order for its gas turbine industrial Trent engine, which will be used to supply electrical power for Ontario Hydro as well as providing process steam to a paper mill.
