Oxegen iPhone app a breath of fresh air

Music lovers at Oxegen this weekend can find their way around the festival site with the help of a new application for the iPhone. Available free from the App Store, the application provides users with an interactive planner for the weekend listing all the bands that are playing and a map of the Punchestown event.

It also links in with Facebook and uses the iPhone’s GPS technology to share your location with other friends at the festival. An essential kit list for the weekend, details on public transport and other ways of getting to Oxegen festival and alerts to inform you of last-minute changes to the line-up have also been built in to the app.
