New faces and offices for Premier Group

Premier Group, the Corkbased human resources and recruitment agency, is opening new offices in Limerick, Waterford and Kilkenny and has made three appointments as part of the expansion.

Ms Samantha de Foubert becomes business development manager. She joined the company from ING Barings in Dublin.

Ms Kathy Hegarty joins as head of IT in Brunel Recruitment, a division of the Premier Group, which serves manufacturing, engineering, IT and industrial sectors. She previously worked with Microsoft and Apple Computers in Cork.

Mr Donal Hanrahan becomes manager of the new office in Limerick which will open next month.

Mr Conor O'Nolan has been appointed head of Esat Telecom's new electronic publishing division. Mr O'Nolan has been involved in interactive media since 1989 and before joining Esat was the founder and managing director of Pixel Magic, a CD-Rom development company.

The former chief executive of AIB, Mr Gerry Scanlan, has been appointed senior steward of the Turf Club, the regulatory body for racing in Ireland.

He has been a member of the Turf Club since 1992 and was deputy senior steward in 1997. The new deputy steward is Mr Ray Rooney, a member of the Turf Club since 1986.

The information technology consultants, the Harvard Group, has appointed Mr Ray Moran as senior project manager. He was formerly technical services manager of the professional services division of Kindle Banking Systems. He previously worked for Motorola, Nixdorf and Software R&D group.

Mr Bryan Jackson has been appointed operations manager with PFH Computers, the computer reseller.

The company has also established a new consultancy service to be headed by Mr Tom Leon, who becomes business development manager.

Mr Martin O'Callaghan, legal and technical manager in the corporate business division of Irish Life, has joined the senior portfolio management team of Irish Life Investment Managers.

Standard Life has appointed Mr Barry O'Dwyer as assistant general manager, actuarial and finance. Mr O'Dwyer has worked with the company since 1988 and was employed for several years in its Edinburgh operations.

AGF Irish Life Holdings, has appointed Mr Martin Brannelly to manage its group branch network in the Republic. He joins from Marsh McLennan Insurance Brokers where he was client services executive manager.
