National Gallery windfall

The National Gallery has received a £250,000 donation from Mr Brendan McDonald, chairman of McDonald Industries, towards its new 44,000 sq ft millennium wing. McDonald Industries is the holding company for the group of companies which specialises in electrical distribution, wholesaling and retailing in Ireland.
