BCP Stockbrokers and Irish Life & Permanent have produced a product offering investors a diverse portfolio that combines the security of property and the growth potential of equities.
Investors in BCP's Preferred Property and Equity Portfolio are offered access to three specific Irish Life & Permanent investment funds. They may choose the Irish Property Fund, the UK Property Fund and Irish Life's European Equity Fund.
Investors may design their own portfolio by choosing the percentage to be invested into each fund.
It is recommended that investors seeking a balanced portfolio should invest some capital in each of the funds.
The Preferred Property and Equity Portfolio is an open-ended investment with no fixed investment period. The minimum investment is £10,000 (€12,697). The European Equity Fund annual management charge is 1.5 per cent and the property funds charge 2 per cent per annum.
There is no bid-offer spread but early exit fees apply at 5 per cent in the first year, reducing by 1 per cent each year, falling to zero at the end of the fifth year.
