Irish mineral exploration group Minco said yesterday that the latest drilling results from the Tobermalug zinc and lead deposit at Pallas Green in Co Limerick are positive.
Minco said two holes had found significant zinc and lead deposits in the project. It is developing the project with Xstrata, one of the world’s largest zinc production companies.
Four rigs are working on the site and 15 holes have been drilled so far this year.
Minco chief executive Terence McKillen said the latest results were very encouraging.
