FLBM, whose interests include plumbing fittings maker Sanbra Fyffe, has bought Cavan firm Flair International out of receivership.
Flair International, which designs and manufactures shower and bath screens, went into receivership last month.
Some 40 jobs are to be saved because of the sale.
FLBM was one of eight parties interested in buying the business, which sells bath and shower screens across the Republic, Northern Ireland, and mainland Europe. Flair had been in business for more than 40 years.

In a statement yesterday, FLBM said it is “confident it will grow the business in the medium to long-term”.
The company plans to make an immediate investment in upgrading manufacturing processes and in new product development, it added.
