Kilkenny seems determined to establish itself as a festival city. Hot on the heels of the Murphy's Comedy Festival and Arts Week comes the Kilkenny Beer Karnivale, October 15th-17th, with sponsorship from Kilkenny beer. Among the headline acts will be The Night in Havana Orchestra, including Danilo Karel (above) with model Ronnie.
A chilly weekend in October and one of Ireland's most historic cities don't exactly sound like the most obvious time and place for a festival of Latin music but the beer must have been keen to sponsor just about anything in the city whose name it carries.
