A judge has approved a 15year-old's application to the Dublin Circuit Civil Court for capital to start a garden business.

The Circuit Court President, Mr Justice Esmond Smyth, had just approved an £11,000 settlement offer from Wayne Young's school in relation to injuries he received in the playground.

When Mr Justice Smyth ordered that the money be invested in court funds on the boy's behalf, Ms Ann Power, counsel for Wayne, of Ashmount, Blakestown Road, Dublin, said Wayne wished to start up his own business caring for gardens and required £1,000 to purchase equipment.
