IVU takes legal advice

The Irish Veterinary Union (IVU) is taking legal advice after the Competition Authority announced that it has instituted legal proceedings against the organisation for breaches of the Competition Act.

A spokesman said the organisation cannot comment on the proceedings, which are understood to involve allegations of price fixing in the veterinary profession.
