Irish Times records 70% rise in profits

The Irish Times Trust Limited, publisher of The Irish Times, has recorded a 70.6 per cent increase in pre-tax profit from £5,464,011 in 1996 to £9,321,934 in 1997. The increase is attributed to strong circulation growth and buoyant advertising revenue. See page 2
