Irish Permanent mortgage checks

The Irish Permanent is to announce details today of the results of a check of 43 mortgage accounts which share characteristics with that of a Dublin couple who were overcharged for two years. A spokeswoman for the company confirmed overcharging was replicated in some of the accounts, which share the feature of being former endowment mortgages which had been changed to annuity mortgages in the period 1996 to May 1998.
