Irish delegation brings `real world' to Denmark

The Margin hears that hard-pressed Irish clothing manufacturers affiliated to IBEC learned a lot from a fact-finding trip to Denmark last week. Among the engagements was a visit to a training college.

Officials from Enterprise Ireland, FAS and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment were introduced individually to academic staff followed by the managing director of an Irish clothing company. This prompted a Danish host to reply, "ah, you are from the real world". Indeed.
