Internet takes Government into a brave new world

STILL on the net, the Government revealed its new web site yesterday. Messrs Quinn and Rabbitte launched the pages in a joint effort and both lauded the arrival of the information age. After speeches and a quick demo from the civil service technos who set the whole thing up, the floor was opened to questions. Strangely though, most of the questions came from Quinn and Rabbitte.

Rabbitte or junior min.Cabinet table as the net surfers might call him even admitted the drive to put the Government on the net had brought him "into a strange new world" a particularly brave admission from a science and technology minister.
