Five foreign nationals charged with fraud and operating an unlicensed trading house were granted bail in Bangkok late yesterday.

An Australian, three Britons and Irishman Mr Paul Hickey were released from a holding cell in the headquarters of the Crime Suppression Division in northern Bangkok.

The five had been in custody since the offices of the Brinton Group, a firm alleged to have been selling ramped shares to predominately Australian and New Zealand investors, was raided by Thai authorities on July 26th.

Mr Ronan Murray and Mr John Kealy, two other Irish nationals connected with the case, handed themselves into Thai Police on Saturday and were charged and granted bail the same day.
