Andrew Hastings, the former chief of Barclays Bank in Ireland, has been appointed to the board of Pepper Finance Corporation (Ireland), the loan servicing specialist and mortgage lender.
Mr Hastings led Barclays Bank Ireland plc between 2011 and 2015 and is the first external appointment to the board of the listed Australian group's Irish subsidiary.
Before Barclays, Mr Hastings held roles with both BNP Paribas and Royal Bank of Scotland. He is a board member with ESB and Elavon Financial Services, and is chairman of the INED Forum at the Federation of International Banks in Ireland.
Paul Doddrell, Pepper Ireland's chief executive, said Mr Hastings would bring "considerable experience and valuable insights" to the business.

Established in 2012, Pepper’s lending division – trading as Pepper Money – offers residential mortgages here, while Pepper Asset Servicing provides loan servicing across a range of asset classes.
It employs more than 400 people in Shannon and Dublin and has more than €18 billion of assets under management.
